No trip to Cambodia should be this short. We found out about a week into this trip that Bill Clinton orchestrated a billion dollar bailout of the Cambodian government in the nineties, and that’s why everyone there treated Americans with such deference and kindness. Everything is in Riels or Dollars (US).

If you go, make sure to spend some quality time in Kampot, where they are known for their pepper. Red, Black, White… it’s all fabulous and pepper farms and processing plants are open for tours.
